The soap as well as the balm were really excellent and I decided to use the Q-Shave knock off of the Mekur ( I still cant believe the Germans would be so doff to let the patent lapse) all in all a very smooth enjoyable shave.

How do you like the Boots stick?

Thanks Jeff I like it a lot it really lathers well and smells great.

I have a Boots stick also and I guess it’s pretty decent. It’s certainly better than the cream version.

Good morning all! Shave of the day: iKon SC102 slant / Custom stainless handle, Gillette Yellow Blade, Brushguy Brush, Truefitt & Hill 1805 cream, Floid Aftershave #wetshaving #sotd

Outstanding shave! Wonderful scent, and great slick lather from the cream. Working with a local artisan to make stainless handles. This one came out great*. Super smooth shave.

Have a great day, stay safe, and keep on shaving!

*I've posted a seperate thread about these handles

Saturday’s Grand Freeze:

Stirling Mentholated Pre-Shave Soap
Razorock Plissoft 26mm Monster
Super Speed/Wilkinson day 6
Stirling Glacial Wintergreen SS
Stirling Glacial Wintergreen ASB
Stirling Glacial Wintergreen WH
Fine Snake Bite AS Splash
Old Spice EdC

This was my coldest shave since Monday when I really went to town with the heavy duty menthol. The Glacial Wintergreen soap froze my face off, had me squinting the whole time, and felt so good. The matching balm, witch hazel, and the Snake Bite aftershave put three more layers of icicles in my face. I’m not too gaga about the P&G version of Old Spice - IMHO the Shulton one smelled a million times nicer. Three passes accomplished my BBS mission!

Sunday morning:

Razorock Plissoft 26mm Monster
Super Speed/Wilkinson day 7
Lea Menthol SC
Prep ASB
Alt Innsbruck AS Splash

Either I’m an expert or it was a miracle because the Wilkinson blade started off quite dull and by the time I was halfway through my first pass I was ready to throw it away, yet I still continued with it and I ended up with a great BBS shave from two passes. The Lea Menthol cream is lovely - the scent is so beautiful, the lather is so rich as well as slick, and the menthol sensation is great. A nice massage with the Prep and a couple of splashes of the Alt Innsbruck finished off the job perfectly. My wife actually told me I smelled beautiful when she kissed me before! (Usually she complains about the Alt Innsbruck!)

Have a nice Sunday!

Thanks Mo!

These Wilkinson blades are very good but like every other brand I have I can’t seem to make them last for longer than a week. My beard is really tough.

Triple SOTD post:
Over the last two weeks or so, ive been using arko almost exclusively, as well as testing out the proraso with the schick injector, and i must say that it works very well. I've noticed i dont need quite as much slickness when using an injector, so the proraso works perfectly. As for the Arko, its absolutely unbeatable. The slickness and lather it produces when face lathering is unbeatable, and the stuff lasts forever! Ive attached a photo showing how much ive used compared to a fresh stick in a four month period where i used it for a minimum of twice a week. Its my go to for speed shaves, and i find myself using it more and more lately.

Shave 1:
Razor: schick injector
Blade: schick platinum ultra (16)
Brush: Wilkinson sword classic shave premium
Soap: arko shave stick
Aftershave Balm: prep

Shave 2:
Razor: Schick injector
Blade: schick platinum ultra (17)
Brush: Omega 49
Soap: proraso sapone
Aftershave Balm: prep

Shave 3:
Razor: schick injector
Blade: schick platinum ultra (17)
Brush: Wilkinson sword classic shave premium
Soap: arko shave stick
Aftershave Balm: prep
