Hi All,

A quick (and pictureless) shave of the day:

Razor: Vintage Shick Krona TTO razor
Blade: Supermax Blue Diamond
Soap: Wriggly Tin Vanilla Patchoulli
Aftershave: Dead Ahead Bay Rum

First try with the old Schick razor. Very nice. Decent aggression level and not overly lightweight (handle is plastic, head is metal).

Good shave.

By all accounts the Krona's have a good rep and are excellent value for money - enjoy

Thanks Clouds. I like the razor head design. It works quite well.

Prep ASB
Alt Innsbruck AS Splash
Chabrawichi 555 Cologne

Forgive me for showing this banged up tube of Hamol - this week I received a beautiful brand new one. This cream is from Syria, of all places and it’s one cracker of a cream. It’s so easy to lather, it smells so nice, and it gives a pleasant cooling sensation along with very good postshave care. I don’t think the Prep and Alt Innsbruck need too much description - they’re both great. The Chabrawichi cologne is from Egypt, and I love its lemony/lavender scent which I find is perfect for the summer or for the tropics. Two easy passes resulted in a perfect BBS shave!
Great shave there Jeff!

My Friday SOTD:

Razorock Plissoft 26mm Monster
Super Speed/Astra Green day 6
Palmira SC
Fino ASB
Proraso Sandalwood AS Splash
Bleu de Chanel EdP

This Astra Green blade is getting tired but it’s still performing very well. This was my first time using the Palmira cream from Serbia and I’m very impressed with it. The scent is really nice - it’s old oschool European the way I love it, it lathers so rich, thick, and slick, with great blade glide, and it leaves a very moisturizing, comfortable postshave feeling. The Fino balm provided such terrific soothing and moisturizing also - this stuff is a godsend for sensitive skin. The Proraso Sandalwood aftershave has such a beautiful scent and it feels so good on the skin. Another brilliant BBS shave from two passes and a little touching up.

Enjoy the weekend!

Saturday morning:

Razorock Plissoft 26mm Monster
Super Speed/Astra Green day 7
Hamol SC
Prep ASB
Aqua Velva Ice Blue AS Splash

Now that I have a brand new back up I’m able to enjoy my current tube of Hamol more often and there’s everything to enjoy about it. Two small dabs on my face and my Plissoft whipped up so much lather that five guys could have shaved and the scent which is so nice filled the bathroom. This cream also gives a mild menthol sensation that feels great. I can’t say enough good things about the Prep because I love it so much, and although my wife hates the scent of the Aqua Velva she knows it’s in my rotation to stay. Another perfect two pass BBS shave that was so much fun!

My Father’s Day shave:

Razorock Plissoft 26mm Monster
Super Speed/new Gillette
Мыльный (Soapy) SC
Dave’s Homemade ASB
Musgo Real Classic AS Splash
Bleu de Chanel EdP

I’m not sure exactly about this new blade because the package just says Gillette on it so it could be anything. It performed very well so I think, or at least I hope it’ll continue performing like that all week. The Soapy cream from Russia smells exactly how its name implies - soapy and clean, its lather is very rich as well as thick, and it has excellent skincare. The tube I’m using now was given to me a few years ago by a dear friend of mine when my wife and I were in Russia on my last business trip, and we were invited by this gentleman and his charming wife to stay at their house which is in the beautiful city of Khabarovsk which is my parent’s hometown! Dave’s balm is so rich in postshave care and the Musgo Real aftershave has a lovely scent which doesn’t ruin that of a fragrance. A great two pass BBS shave which I enjoyed immensely.

Happy Father’s Day from a super proud Dad!

Beautiful shave of the day, i cant resist using arko, its absolutely fantastic stuff.
Perfectly slick lather with plenty of protection and a stick of it lasts forever!
This one has a minimum of 24 uses on it and its barely shorter than it originally was, maybe 2mm or so shorter, so it will definitely last more than 100 uses for sure.

Usually i dont face lather with the Wilkinson sword classic shave brush, but it performed beautifully, definitely a fantastic beginners brush.

Razor: Wilkinson sword TTO
Blade: Personna lab blue (9)
Brush: Wilkinson sword classic shave premium
Soap: Arko shave stick
Aftershave Balm: prepImage

Nice Matthew

Seeing as you have fallen hard for Arko ,your next treasure hunt should be to find one of those shave stick holders that make an appearance every now an then .
Definitely, im actually going to a place tomorrow to look for one.
