ID Gillette New Traveler set

A big part of the fun for me is trying to find out history on vintage razors. DE, and especially Gillette, are normally well documented.

This boxed razor came as part of an Ebay lot. The seller advertised it as an Aristocrat. As much as I wish that was true, it's clearly not. Nor is it a President. Has anyone seen something similar? Went through mr-razor.com and this is the closest I could find:

Exact match razor: http://www.mr-razor.com/Rasierer/The%20 ... Canada.JPG
Possible travel set excluding razor: http://www.mr-razor.com/Rasierer/The%20 ... aveler.JPG

So is this just probably a mix of the two? I used it this morning in my SOTD and it is really one of the finest of that time period. But the handle is a bit wonky and I'm going to retire it for now as I was very lucky it came apart falling into the sink and not over the floor.

I'd have to agree with your assessment - looks like a mismatch set, a very nice one as well

Thanks Jacquers. Some of you guys have been hunting vintage razors for a long time and have a better "feel" for what something could be.
