Head Shaving

Postby Jacquers » Wed May 23, 2018 1:54 pm

Saw this used in a video recently and it gets good reviews: https://halftimerazors.com

Any head shavers around here? I think Thug is?

I just use clippers without a guard to 'shave' my head as I'm prone to breakouts and not keen to have my head covered in a rash, but this does look like a good option, similar to the headblade.

Here is another interesting headshaver: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tSehDS1xzss

Interesting concept Jacquers.

There is also HeadBlade on the market locally available. https://headblade.co.za/

I generally shave my head during summer but grow it and keep it short during winter and use my Muhle R106 which is a mild razor.

Cool design but another marketing foefie… If one looks at the cost of razor cartridges these days why would you want to break the bank by shaving with two cartridges at a time? The cost can be quite enormous if you shave your head daily all year around which is the case with me. I shaved my head with all my DE and SE razors without any problem to breakouts. Though I have one razor in particular I fancy for head shaving and that is a plastic Super Max DE razor RVT once sent along with one of my parcels. I recon it is supposed to be the equivalent of the LION razor in our South African market but for me it is much more superior than the Lion. Do you still have some of them Mo? I haven’t seen them yet here in our stores.

I've seen peoples heads being shaved with just a DE blade (not doing it themselves though), so I suppose similar to a shavette.

I got one client who is getting some good shaves with a Rockwell using a BIC blade, he is chuffed and very happy using a safety razor, I can't see how the learning curve can be all that much different than shaving your face. Foefie stamp in my books also.

I also used a Muhle when I used to head shave. Worked just fine and I got great shaves.

I once let my barber shave my head and I felt so uncomfortable. It's just not for me.
