SOTD:
After 15 shaves and close to a month of using the same razor, i decided to start afresh.
A different razor and a brand new blade was the perfect way to start a new month off!

A fantastic shave from the Wilkinson sword TTO, paired with a personna lab blue.

The proraso sapone still definitely lacks slickness so i wont be changing the review, but it is definitely much more manageable with the Wilkinson sword TTO which is far less agressive than my fatip piccolo. The menthol affect on the proraso is fantastic, and the best way to end off a menthol shave is with even more menthol, that prep is absolutely fantastic as an aftershave balm, my review on that will be posted shortly.

Overall a perfectly BBS shave after 3 passes.

Razor: Wilkinson sword TTO
Blade: personna lab blue (1)
Brush: Wilkinson sword classic shave premium
Soap: proraso sapone
Aftershave Balm: prep balmImage

Great shave my boy!

I’m happy you’re getting better results with the Proraso Green because it sickens me!

Not really better results, its just not super bad with a less agressive razor but im still not a fan of it.

Good morning all! Shave of the day: Vintage Ever-Ready Pat. 1924, Brushguy brush, Mydlana Chata Cologne soap, Boss Night aftershave #wetshaving #sotd

Outstanding shave! Absolutely wonderful lather from this soap. Beautiful smooth result.

Have a great day, stay safe, and keep on shaving!

PS. A very big word of thanks to a good friend from Poland for giving me the chance to use this soap :)

Terrific shave Mo!

I never knew Poland had any artisans producing shaving soaps!

Sunday morning:

Neutrogena Men Facial Wash
Razorock Plissoft 26mm Monster
Super Speed/new Astra Green
GZD Shaving Stick
Prep ASB
Booster Polar Ice AS Splash

This GZD stick is from Turkey and it has the identical scent to the Arko one with very similar lather and performance, but it’s maybe a bit less skin friendly, at least to me than the Arko. The Prep cream made up for any lack of skincare and the Polar Ice went on with its delightful old school barbershop scent which I love so much. The new Astra Green blade helped to give me a brilliant BBS shave in two passes with minimal touching up.

Have a great Sunday!

Thanks Mo!

The GZD stick is made by a completely different company than Arko. They’re located in Izmir and they had some huge problems with Evyap International, which is the Arko producer. They complained that this stick was a carbon copy of the Arko one and that the packaging was too similar.

SOTD:
Beautiful shave of the day this morning! BBS after three passes with skin stretching. The omega 49 is really wearing in now, and its absolutely fantastic, definitely my favourite brush, im really starting to favour boar brushes over synthetic, but that could change if i get my hands on a good quality synthetic.

The personna lab blue was definitely much smoother on its second shave, definitely a very good blade, I'll have to see if it can match the longevity of the Wilkinson sword blade which really impressed me by achieving 15 perfect shaves.

Arko as always works beautifully, i can easily see this stick lasting a year with two uses a week.

Razor: Wilkinson sword TTO
Blade: personna lab blue (2)
Brush: Omega 49
Soap: arko shave stick
Aftershave Balm: prepImage

You set the bar high with your SOTD’s Tony. Good to see you still have the Spitfire soap. I’m keeping a close eye on when the next batch will be released. That Guerrilla looks quite similar to a Gillette Fat Tech design. Would you rate it a mild or aggressive razor?

Interesting soap Mo. I see one of the ingredients is perfume. Doesn’t it cause a bit of skin irritation? I’m curious what the cologne scent smells like.

Hi there Bles! This is avery good soap with not a very strong scent. It had a light fragrance of old style cologne like Old Spice.

No irritation at all.

I don’t find the Proraso Green as bad as in your review albeit I prefer the red over the green.
