Good morning fellow shavers! First shave of 2019: Vintage Ever - Ready Pat 1912 razor, TDR Cahaba brush, Cahaba Breeze soap, and aftershave balm. #wetshaving #sotd

Outstanding shave! Smooth and clean. A special dedication to my good friend good Thomas all the way from Denmark.

Wishing all happy 2019. Take care, stay safe, and keep on shaving.

Great shaves to start off the new year @Mo, Clouds!

@Mo The One X scent is magnificent. It’s hard for me to describe but it’s a very good copy of Acqua di Parma Blu Mediteranneo which is an extremely costly fragrance that I bought a few years ago. It’s got some fern notes to it and it’s also a little fruity but in a manly way. It’s lovely. This soap and aftershave have exactly that scent.

I want to once again wish all of you wonderful guys a very healthy and happy new year!

My first shave of 2019 turned out excellent. The Derby blade performed in fine style and knocked off my tough stubble in two quick, easy passes. The One X soap from Razorock lathered beautifully, and I enjoyed that wonderful scent so much. The Bull Dog moisturizer gave me good soothing and the One X aftershave made me smell so great and gave me a bit of a cooling effect!

Thanks RVT & Jaydee

The Horsehair lathers very well but is soft, actually too soft so getting the later on your face is not as easy as other hair.

Wow! Can't believe it's 2019 already... 2018 went by far too quickly!

Haven't posted in awhile, spending time with family. Did have a few shaves in the meantime though.

Christmas day shave.

An awesome two pass plus clean-up shave. Nice mild scent from the soap, good performance too. Just shy of a full BBS shave.

Tools:

- Marks and Spencer's Burgundy Balm
- Blue Stratos Marine Aftershave
- Bundubeard Coffee Scented Shave Soap
- RVT Wild Olivewood 28mm Finest Badger Brush
- Vidyut Super-Max Blade - 2nd Shave
- 1930s Eclipse Red Ring Razor

Image

Ending off the shave with the the Marks and Spencer's Burgundy balm. Superb face feel.

SOTD for the 27th of December.

Lovely cooling effect from the Bundubeard soap. Mounds of lather with a lovely and sweet minty scent. Blade was a bit rough on the second pass but got through the shave well enough. These Vidyut blades are good for about 3 or 4 shaves. A few weepers on the jawline where the blade struggled a bit to cut cleanly. Ended up with a good DFS.

Tools:

- Johnny's Chop Shop Balm
- Brut Aftershave
- Bundubeard Kudu's Kick Shave Soap
- RVT Wild Olivewood 28mm Finest Badger Brush
- Vidyut Super-Max Blade - 3rd Shave
- Fatip Piccolo Razor

Image

The Johnny's Chop Shop balm mended the face well and left it smooth and supple.

SOTD 31 December 2018

An absolutely amazing shave to end off 2018! A full three passes with clean up, achieving a well deserved BBS shave. No nicks, weepers or irritation. Blade was smooth and sharp, cutting through four days of growth without issue. Went with the face freeze of the Stirling Soap. Excellent peaks on the lather, providing ample protection, glide and slickness.

Tools:

- Sorbet Balm
- Jovan Musk Aftershave
- Stirling Glacial Lemon Chill Soap
- RVT Custom 24mm Finest Badger Brush
- Voskhod Blade - 1st Shave
- 1940s Knockout Razor

Image

Finished off with an Arctic cold water rinse, then applying my mentholated witch hazel for maximum effect. Left that to dry and cool me down further and then splashed on some Jovan Musk, completing the shave with the Sorbet balm.

Wishing you all a happy and prosperous New Year for 2019!
