Hello Shavers! Shave of the day: Gillette Aristocrat Adjustable (1963), Gillette 7 o Clock Saloon blade, Bush Shaving Cream (India), Real shaving Co. Balm #wetshaving #sotd

Excellent shave! Very nice lather from this cream, and this blade is sharp!

Have a great day, stay safe, and keep on shaving!

Great shave Mo!

I never heard of that cream before. Can you describe it a little?

First time I've tried it. Made in New Delhi, India. The scent is very similar to Vi-John Lime. The leather is great. Not bad for two dollars :)

An awesome shave which I really enjoyed to the max. The Simply Bee soap provided fabulous lather with such great skincare which my face needed and its mild honeycomb scent was very pleasant. The Rockwell Barbershop balm did a superb job of moisturizing and soothing my skin afterwards. I added a splash of Booster Mosswood aftershave to get a little more of a traditional barbershop scent.

Yesterday's SOTD

Had to remove a full month's worth of mustache growth. Rather easy with an open comb razor. The soap of choice was the Abyss shave soap. The lather was superb, thick and glossy, full of protection and glide. The scent is a real winner too. Just amazing. Combined with the big RVT finest badger brush just raised the bar to the next level. Razor and blade performed well, blade still sharp and smooth. An aroma filled DFS!

Tools:

- Marks and Spencer's Burgundy Balm
- Cussons Imperial Leather Aftershave
- Jeeves of Hudson Street Abyss Shave Soap
- RVT Wild Olivewood 28mm Finest Badger Brush
- Personna Platinum Blade - 6th Shave
- Gillette 1931-35 Goodwill Razor

Image

Completed the shave with my usual post shave routine. Just love the scent of the Imperial Leather AS. Finished up with the Marks and Spencer's Burgundy balm, leaving my skin feeling fantastic.

Thanks for your concern, Chrisvo!

I’m much better but I still get tired very easily. I’m staying in today because the weather is so awful. We’re getting freezing rain with snow and strong winds. A good day to just rest up.

I'd planned to do a late shave yesterday evening and this was what things looked like in my bathroom...

So left it for Sunday.

So this morning did what I wanted to do with 2 days growth. But tonight is going to be an early night again with loadshedding.

Merkur Progress set on 2 gave a very aggressive close shave, but after 3 passes wasn't BBS. So will really need to learn the razor. Simply design, built like a tank and very different to the Gillette adjustables that I'm used to. Very impressed with it so far.

The Brushguy has a very deep set knot, compensating well for the soft synthetic. I bought it for the handle, but think I'll keep the knot in for now. The Cryogen soap was a bit much for me, and with tears streaming down my face after the first pass I was regretting using it. But the post shave feel is remarkable and the base is a world class soap.

Beautiful shave @Jegreen!

The Cryogen soap is bitter cold but it’s still a bit less potent than the Glacials or Jaco’s Kameelperd’s Kick!
