Great shaving this morning!

@Thug - That Christohper Bradley is always great to see.
@RVT - a 1912 is a permanent part of my rotation. I easily get 20 xshavesper blade, and normally bin a DE after 2 or 3 uses.

Was away for a workshop last night, so this was the view from my room this morning.
Razorock synthetic, Uncle Jon's Pipesmoke and a Fatboy set on 5 was a fine way to start the morning.

Great shaves guys!

I was out of the loop for a while because I had a terrible fever which I was afraid might have been pneumonia but thank heavens it wasn’t.

A pictureless SOTD today:

Razorock Plissoft 26mm Monster
Goodfella/Wilkinson Sword day 5 (I think)
Stirling Frozen Tundra SS
Aveeno Moisturizer

The last time I went a week or longer without shaving was back in 1973 when I was on combat duty during the Yom Kippur war in my IDF days. I had to something like five passes and quite a bit of touching up to get all this heavy growth off. The Frozen Tundra soap sure felt great with its wonderful scent and lather, as well as its strong menthol kick. I think I’ll go back to sleep for a bit longer!

Thanks a lot my friend - I do feel better but I’m still very weak and it’s an effort for me to even get out of bed.

Saturday morning’s SOTD:

Razorock Plissoft 26mm Monster
Goodfella/Wilkinson Sword day 6
Gada Cool Mint SC
Lucky Tiger ASB
Aqua Velva AS Splash

A pleasure to be able to stand up and walk once again and to be feeling like a human being. This shave was BBS as well as so cooling and comfortable thanks to the Gada Cool Mint cream. The Lucky Tiger balm and the Aqua Velva were a most enjoyable end to such a nice shave!

Was about to post my SOTD a few hours ago and then the power goes out. Just another day in paradise....

Anyway, Thursday's SOTD

Taking a page out of jegreen's shave book and went with the #66 Gillette Aristocrat razor with its lovely rhodium finish. A supremely luxurious lather from the Simply Bee soap allowed the razor to glide over my face. Blade was smooth, comfortable and sharp, removing the stubble with ease. A wonderful DFS.

Tools:

- Old Spice Swagger Aftershave
- Simply Bee Soap and Lotion
- RVT African Blackwood Silvertip Brush
- Personna Platinum Blade - 5th Shave
- Gillette #66 Aristocrat Razor

Image

Left over lather rubbed into the face and then rinsed off with some cold water. A lovely cooling sensation from my mentholated witch hazel, followed up by a good sting from the Old Spice Swagger AS. Topped off with the soothing of the Simply Bee lotion.
