Solid piece of steel, Thug!

Mine this morning was some Greenfields face lathered with a SOC badger. The Polsilver blade is on it's last use, but it still worked well enough with the Gillette Aristocrat to give a great shave. Minty and fresh!

Thanks Gents.

Lovely shaves gents.

@RVT, the Daishi is unusual in that it's a quarter hollow whereas all my other Japanese razors are full. It still gives a wonderful shave.

I suppose the quarter hollow would he a quieter blade, and less prone to flex?

Tuesday's SOTD

Two passes plus some pickups, achieving a DFS with ease. Blade was smooth and sharp and performed well in the Eclipse Red Ring razor. Immense lather from the La Toja soap, dense and protective on the first pass, adding more water to thin out the lather on the second pass, to aid slickness.

Tools:

- Jovan Musk Aftershave
- Nivea Balm
- La Toja Shave Stick
- Semogue Owner's Club Boar Brush
- Personna Platinum Blade - 4th Shave
- 1930s Eclipse Red Ring Razor

Image

Rubbed the rest of the lather into the face and rinsed off with cold water, following that up with my mentholated witch hazel blend. After the cool down, a good burn from the sweet and musky Jovan Musk AS. Left that to dry down for about 30 minutes and then applied the Nivea balm to replenish my skin. Another awesome shave!

Thanks. The La Toja soap performs superbly once you have the right water to soap ratio. I had some lovely peaks and a glossy shine to my lather. Perfect!

Good morning everyone! Shave of the day: Vintage Ever-Ready Pat 1912 razor, Tambuti brush, Calani soap, Whickham 24 aftershave #wetshaving #sotd

Excellent shave! Three quick clean passes to smoothness. Fantastic lather from this soap.

Have a great day, stay safe, and keep on shaving!Image
