The knee is good to go. I've ran 8km the past week without any pain so let's spring begin! :D

Thanks RVT.
Saturday morning's, yes. There is a group of us that meet at Doppio Zero in Greenside. From there we run to Mellville Koppies, run both sections (East & West), then to the Botanical Gardens and back to Doppio for coffee/breakfast. Distance is normally around 12.5km but depends on how much fetching of the slower runners is involved.

Normal runs during the week are generally also on a fixed route but I vary depending on what distance I want to cover.

Thanks Thug. The knee is holding up extremely well so far. Hopefully it will keep up with my planned program for September as I will be putting it through some longer distances. :D

Thanks Tony. Nice distance on your side as well. I personally like an 8km run. 5 are to short and 10 to long. 8 are just right. Now I sound like the 3 bears… :crazy When I bent my knee to a certain degree I can still feel a slight discomfort but nothing serious. As they say in Afrikaans…”hy is nou oor die hond se stert…” :D

This afternoon I will be covering a 5k tempo run session.

No DS not that one….   :oo (hoe lekker lag ek nou) It is a Swedish training method which is Swedish for “speed play”. Fart = speed, lek = play.
After a warmup, you play with speed by running at faster efforts for short periods of time (to that tree, to the sign) followed by easy-effort running to recover. The goal is to run at harder efforts but not a specific pace.
