WHAT ARE YOUR HOBBIES?

When we're not sourcing that hard to come by shave soap or that rare straight razor we find our selves pursuing an activity or unique interest, let's hear what keeps us busy!

I do my best to stay young - my gorgeous 34 year old wife is doing a great job of that but there are a few other things such as:

Golf (summer or when we travel to the tropics)
Martial arts
Gardening (summer)
Cycling (summer)
Swimming (summer)
Long walks with my dog
Music
Hunting
Wetshaving (of course!)

Hi Jeff

You sound like a man living The Life!!! Please tell me you still work like some of us...like 9 to 5 routine ? :-)

Which martial art(s) do you practice?
And the biggest question - where do you get the time for all of this? :-)

Hi Suleiman!

I'm very much into:

Shotokan Karate (2nd Dan but I've slowed down a lot)
Krav Maga (Trained in it in the IDF)
Muay Thay (I'm not nearly so good as my instructor says!)

I've been retired for three years because of the big decline in the industry I was in. Unfortunately, due to my age and some upcoming surgery I'll be undergoing I'll have to cut out the martial arts for quite a while. :)

I just got home after walking with my dog - he's a HUGE German Shepherd who loves to jump around and play. The only problem is he's not dog-friendly and he can be VERY difficult to hang on to sometimes when he goes into his act. He'll walk as quietly as as lamb when there are no other dogs around but as soon as he sees another dog he starts going ballistic!

Yesterday I trained for three hours in Muay Thay and it was bloody rough but it’s a great way to keep in shape.

Aha a fellow Bowman

I only have a compound though, Mathews Monster 7.0, dialed in at 70 Pounds. Just don't get enough time to shoot anymore :( Was thinking of going around to http://surefocus.co.za/ and throwing a few arrows around maybe this weekend - have you tried this range before HenkB?

Hallo fellow Bowman

No, have not tried that range yet. I am in Centurion, so there are limited ranges here for bowshooting. Nice Bow there, Monsters are awesome.

I have Elite Energy 35, set currently at 80 pounds. Used to have a Hoyt at 94pounds, but just fell in love with the Elite.

Do you do hunting as well, and are you active on the bow forums?

Pretty awesome that there are a couple of bowman on the forum!

I am into recurve archery, actually just ordered a Win & Win Olympic style recurve bow, waiting for it to be shipped. Only been shooting about 6 months every weekend. Really enjoying it.

I don't have time to participate in many hobbies, so there’s 2 stress relievers for me. Wetshaving with straight razors and cave diving.
