Stackable, seal-able, containers for soap.

Postby JHBBlade » Wed Mar 02, 2016 9:17 pm

Loading soap from within a Tin Mug is driving me nuts. I placed a wriggly tin loose soap into an old tin mug, but the rubbing of the brush handle on the inside of the tin is just plain irritating, and not good for the brush.

I'm looking for seal - able, stackable, round Tupperware type containers for loose soaps like the wriggly tin, and also to place grated soap into from hard bars.

I'm looking for ideas, sources?

Me too, I've considered the tin mug, but passed for that exact same reason.

Was even contemplating an ashtray, but don't have any...

Not sure if these are stackable? viewtopic.php?f=14&t=74

But you can probably find something that will work in the aisle where the food containers are or at plastic warehouse.

They stack. Just beware that the mechanism won't put up with excessive force.

Those Longstar containers are stackable and they work great. You can buy them at Clicks! Stock up if you find them. Very handy.

Last time they were on special I din't buy, but since then I've transitioned from cream and acquired a few more soaps so I'll make a plan to get some.

Check out the plastic jars section too, I'm an online buyer, avoiding brick and mortar shops are my speciality

One of the side effects of wet shaving... you walk past things in the shopping aisle and think... hmm, that might make a nice lather bowl, or that might make a nice soap container

I saw this at the flea market (still in a rather dusty box). It's a giant pill box - not sure who takes this many tablets, its huge. I use a miniature version of this for m blood pressure meds. Anyway, DE blades fit in just right if you take them out of the pack. It came with am / pm dividers for each section but I don't think I'll be needing that. (yet)

Cool idea

I'll have to check at Dischem if they have any of those.

Hi All

The longstar containers you mentioned are back at Clicks just re-branded as a Clicks brand and also on a buy three get one free special picked up 3 for R40.00 on Saturday, but found that only the clicks at major shopping centers have them.

You know what I'm looking for? Korean stainless steel rice bowls with lids. They make out very nice shaving soap containers but it seems I can't find them locally. I would really love to find some. If you guys see some please let me know. ;)
