Balm / splash

Ending off a fine shave.

Balm / splash

Postby RiverValleyTrading » Thu Jan 14, 2016 2:07 pm

I was wondering if it is possible to make up an aftershave that is kind of an in between splash and balm. To have the soothing effect of balm and the astringent, disinfectant 'burn' of splash... Not sure if it's possible. You thoughts?

No idea.

I know that the Aftershave I brewed doesn't have any sting but that's because of the diluted alcohol levels as well as probably a low % by volume to begin with.

So to get a combination between AS & Balm to have the "burn", it might take using 100% proof alcohol to start off with.

I think 444 gel comes about the closest to achieving the balance between splash and balm...

What about the in the form of "Milk" balm???? not all companies make those but always wonder how it works and feel.

Is there any similar products on the market expect for the 444 gel?

What i often do is mix after shave with Nivea sensitive. Both being a bit watery they mix very well and the result is quite soothing.
Depends on what after shave i use the sting still comes through with the soothing effect of the balm
Shaving like it should be done!!
