Some Italian items arrived today;

Figaro Shaving Soap (150ml)

The Figaro is something else, the scent is simply intoxicating and the lather properties are incredible, been a long time since we encountered a soap that delivers such a luxurious lather with such minimal brush work! Highly recommended :thumbup:

Proraso Green Shaving Soap (150ml)
The Proraso is an all time favorite and works well for taming the scorching summers.

The thumb rest is a must, on earlier prototypes the need for this became very apparent - this is still a work in progress and hope to refine the design over the next few months :)

I find it's best to use on a flt counter top, placed on top of a towel. It's a bit dangerous to hold it by the handle when filled with water.

Fully agree with you on this, getting burnt before settling in to a rewarding shave is not great. The scuttle can be plugged with a synthetic wine cork if need be to avoid this, just be sure to release excess steam as your shave may be interrupted by what sounds like a champagne bottle being popped :lol: :lol: :lol:

Admin, the scuttles of yesteryear had a spout, large enough to accommodate a shaving brush, for soaking. Now I know that there are some huge brushes out there and that forcing it in there can lead to bristle damage. Thus, just a thought/suggestion, if practical.
