Razorock Blackhawk forum pass-around

Postby deepsouth » Fri Sep 22, 2017 9:12 am

Hi gents,

I'll want to pass around some things to our active forum members to try out;
Blackhawk V2
Cartridge of Feather Professional blades (20 in a pack, should be more than enough)
Razorock Amici soap (slight crack in the lid)
Some of my yet to be named bay rum aftershave
Three tucks of Nacets for those wanting to try them

Rules are simple;
1) It's a gentlemens agreement amongst fellow gentlemen (your word is your honor etc)
2) I get about 7x good shaves (on the Artist club) from these blades, YMMV. Use the razor with a single fresh blade "duration" however long that is and pass it on. Give the razor an antiseptic clean and dispose of your used blade in your own blade bank (let the next person load a new one)
3) Send on the listed gear above, except if you want to add something to the pass around you can add that.
4) Post your thoughts on the goodies on this post and who it's going to next.
5) Pay the shipping forward, In other words, you pay for the shipping to the next guy, he pays for the next etc. etc
6) Don't use the post office or questionable methods.
7) Last person can send it back to me, so the circle is complete

I'll start by sending it to JHBBlade (26th Sept) If he wants "in"

Should I add more "rules" and also who wants in?

Great idea!
I'm in.

I also have a couple of shave soap and aftershave recipes I'm trying out. Will include some samples for you guys. I would appreciate your feedback.

Splendid initiative DS. :clap: :clap: I'll give this one a skip as I will be traveling a lot from October till January. In the meantime I'll grab a chair and some :popcorn to see how the dead rises... :lol: :lol: :lol:

It starts....

I'm sending the parcel out today - some blurb from the site

*If you have never shaved with an SE razor before, I urge you to start slowly and not to apply excessive pressure with the razor. The SE blades are thicker, sharper and more rigid than a double-edge blade.

**When assembling the razor and threading the handle on the post, please make sure not to apply excessive force because aluminum is softer than steel and can cross-thread and be damaged much easier. Aluminum on aluminum can squeak and be a little rough, you can apply a drop of mineral oil to the threads for smoother operation, if desired. When screwing on the handle with a blade inserted, I strongly urge you to hold the razor head inside a thick towel just in case it slips. BLADES ARE SHARP, so take great care when changing the blade in your razor!

Very awesome gesture and great pass around sir :thumbup:

If I can reiterate deepsouth's request above, take care of the kit as if it were your very own, adhere to the rules and take care in the general handling :old and most importantly enjoy.

Did this every carry on to completion? Can't remember having seen this razor again after these posts.

I've got a similar type of SE on the the way and curious on the impressions.
