Whoa - great collections there ! Droolworthy ! Does the H&T take standard DE blades?

Thx, most of the NEW razors were from my eBay exploits last year.

Yup, the H&T uses standard DE blades.

High time I posted a collection. I don't think it's unreasonable to want to be able to use a different razor every day of the month
I've also reached a stage where I've thinned out (slightly) some of my razors, so RAD is showing signs of decreasing  . Below are three pictures, with descriptions starting at 12:00 clockwise, more or less in age order. Photo quality is not great due to poor lighting. Please let me know if incorrect naming so that I can update my own records.

3 Piece - Single Ring, Bulldog, Old Type, New Improved Tuckaway, New Improved Bostonian, New Short Comb, New Long Comb, New Long Comb, Tech with triangle slots, Bakelite Tech clone, Tech with ball end, Long Comb Tech clone, Fatip, EJ DE89, R41, iKon Short Comb.

TTO - Rocket HD, Aristocrat Jnr, Fatboy, Slim, Rocket Flair Tip, Rocket Red Tip, Flair Blue Tip, Flair Silver Tip (NOS), Flair Red Tip, Aristocrat #66, Super Adjustable 84, Schick Krona, G1000, Super Adjustable B4.

Other - GEM, iKon X3, Merkur 37C, Hoffritz Slant.

I haven't used all of them yet as some arrived yesterday. Some of them I'll keep boxed and not in rotation, but for the most part they're there to do what they were designed to do.

Very nice collection

You have managed to acquire a substantial amount of razors (and some very nice ones too) in a short time

Wow Jegreen! Some stunning razors there.... Schick Krona and the G 1000 I've not heard of before.

Best you don't start straight shaving, else your RAD could flare up again ;-)

Great collection jegreen ! You have fantastic razors in there, don't look at straights (just ignore them) SRAD is another thing altogether :-)

@Jacquers - I just convinced myself that what's the difference if I buy now or in 6 months time... 30% of them are local purchases and the rest are from the Bay, mostly in bulk lots. Buy in bulk and save! I'm sure you can guess where the gaps are in my Gillette family... But I'm quite content to stop now and try enjoy them. So going to really try to be good and even stop browsing BoB!
@JHBBlade / @deepsouth - Yes, I am worried about SRAD. Tried to buy 1 and ended up with the 4 that I put on the forum yesterday  . Found it really difficult to say no to a good price! Think the G1000 replaced the Gillette Twist? This is my wife's grandfather's 1981 razor. Jacquers once mentioned the Schick Krona and I loved the writing on the topcap.
@RVT, @Thug, @Mikaar - Thanks, just love the variety and design. Each one is different, but there are naturally a few that I probably would leave out if I did it again. Although I still couldn't bring myself to part with them

Found an Apollo razor No 122 today. Not in bad condition. Made sometime in the 1950s.

Base plate and handle are a gold coloured anodized aluminium with the top cap being cast in Zamak with the alignment pins and screw thread being brass. Didn't come with its box unfortunately..

Looks very much like a Gillette Tech razor and I think it should shave much the same as well. Light as a feather and some good grip on the handle. Gave it a good cleaning and will give it a shave sometime in the next week.

The NEWest addition to my collection ;)

NEW Deluxe - '15mm' version. Overall in pretty nice condition. The handle is badly cracked, but someone is going to try and fix it for me.

Nasty crack. Is it the same one that was advertised on BOB last week?

Ja, not nice, but I've seen worse ones repaired and come out pretty nice.

No, not the same set, mine is an import ;) I saw the one on BoB, but I already have a NEW Long Comb (although not in such nice condition and in such a nice set) and can't really justify another display item.

The NEW Gillettes are some of my favourite DE's. More refined than the double rings.

The head is fine though, should be able to shave with either an Old or New handle. Great find.
