Lovely brushes JB. That Razorock 400 looks like a real beauty.

Razorock 400 is the black aluminium handled synthetic. Heavier than the rubberset on which it's copied by quite a margin. A real work of art, especially for the price.

TOBS brush is a S40 Super Badger. An absolute monster! It will easily be my biggest brush. 28mm knot and brush is 130mm tall. Probably suck up half a puck of RVT soap in one shave, and then provide lather for the whole family over a week ;-).

Barbershop brush is a tiny Scritchmeister that has Deepsouth's name on it.

Brush that looks like the Barbershop with a metal knob is unbranded.

Tiny Rubberset is a vintage brush busy falling apart but will make for a fun restore project. Image

@JHBBlade, did you pay any VAT or customs duty on those brushes?

I'm gobsmacked that my Paladin, which should be delivered sometime this morning, didn't cost me a single cent in VAT or Customs duties. :OOO

Wow Thug, the colour of that Palladin is magic.

I've also been lucky recently to not pay VAT or any duties.

Thanks Mikaar, ShavingB and JHBBlade.

@ShavingB - R120 after my FNB discount.
No duties or VAT either which I'm extremely surprised at.
But as they say, don't look a gift horse in the mouth.

New Products

That is an absolute bargain for any shipping!Do you just create an account and ask them to collect?
And how does the FNB discount work?

Awesome colour on that brush Thug!

Thanks ShavingB.

You create an account with Aramex Global Shopper. If you have an account with FNB, it doesn't cost you anything.
They then give you a list of 22 addresses spread throughout the world which includes a unique reference number.
This reference number is your account number.

They then charge R195 for the 1st 500gr of the parcel and R100 per 500gr thereafter.
If you then pay for the shipping with an FNB card (either Debit or Credit) they give you a R75 discount on the 1st 500gr charge.

I've been using them for the past 2 years and have had no problem.
However, they do have an extensive list of what they will not ship, Straight Razors being one of the items.

edit: When you purchase an item, for e.g. in the UK, you then get the retailer to post to your address in the UK.

Incidentally, the cheapest courier option on Ship-It-To is aramex.

Very nice Thug, love the Hieroglyphs on the side and the golden color flowing in the blue.
