Rain bucketing down for the past 4 days here in Durban. Stay safe, and take care. Flash floods around suburbs making road travel dangerous.

Indeed, been a very challenging few days, with immense rainfall experienced. Quite the low pressure system observed with 'cyclonic type' behaviour.

Wow! It's been a crazy week. On Wednesday morning at around 2:30 am the floodgates were opened on the Umgeni river in the valley below us . My Father and I were busy tending the makeshift sand bag channels to funnel water away from the house. The sound of the river raging in the valley below was incredible. The ground began to tremble. Unstoppable force.
