I am keen on trying out this product and wondered if any forum members have tried it and whether it can be recommended.
I am keen to hear any comments.

I know from the SOTDs that Chrisvo really likes it and the moisturizing lotion as well.

My take on it: It's a hard soap and it takes me a bit more effort compared to some other soaps to build up a lather. Maybe because of this I didn't find the performance to be better than my other soaps, but it wasn't bad. I just probably need to load more soap or bloom it a bit to get better lather. The scent is pleasant: light and sweet, more of a propolis than honey smell, but you can definitely smell it's a bee product. The price is good and it should last a while. With the all natural ingredients it should be good for your skin as well. I'd say it's worth a try.

The Simply Bee is a very good performing soap. It lathers up just fine, with a rich creamy, stable lather. The scent is kind of a honeycomb (bees wax) type scent.

Thanks for the info. Now to find whether a nearby Pretoria supplier has stock.

I love the simply bee soap - in my humble view - a top performer, I like the scent and the performance + propolis (which is good for your skin) I also use the balm/moisturizer - good stuff cant go wrong

Looks like Pretoria does not cater for the wet shaving community :x . No suppliers carry stock of the shaving soap.
Had to order online from Simply Bee. Tracking number already received. I'ii have to wait until next week to try it out.
Thanks to all those who gave feedback.

Don't stress IIadets, Oom Paul had the similar problems back in his day, he gave up on trying to find a good barber and instead worked on his beard ;-) On the other hand you are fortunate to have Shavehaven on your doorstep, and Tony the barber on your stoep!
