Viking Blue Ice shaving cream

This is a Russian-made version of an old Bulgarian cream. This stuff is very good.

Ease of lathering: 10/10–Fantastic. A little goes a very long way.

Longevity of lather: 10/10–Perfect stability at all times.

General skincare: 8/10–Very good. Moisturizes and protects well. A fairly good menthol effect.

Scent: 8/10–Quite nice. More manly than the Bulgarian version.

Price: 10/10–A steal. A dollar EUR in Russia.

Would I buy again: 8.5/10–Very possibly.

The “Krasnya Linya” (Red Line) company in Odnichevo, Russia bought the license from Aroma Cosmetics in Bulgaria and started to produce this cream. In my opinion they improved on the formulation a lot, particularly with the scent. Both versions have great lather and skincare, but this cream smells much more like something a man would like.

Thanks Mo!

It really is good stuff. Russia produces a lot of good creams. No commercial soaps, though. There are a couple of pretty good artisan ones that I managed to try a few years ago.
