Now I can count my chickens :)

Cost: $18 (R272.47), R22 customs clearance, and a trip to the post office.

Haven't had a chance to try them yet, will let you know. They are going to have to be pretty nice to outdo the Minoras ;)

I also like them both, and have found that certain blades work better in certain razors. I didn't like Derby one bit, until it went into the Progress - much good ! I'll be swopping the minora in my r41 to a polsilver next too

I tried the Polsilver this morning. Very nice blade, sharp and smooth. Too early to tell if it's better than the Minora. My initial feeling is that the Minora might be a tiny bit better. The test now will e to try it in different razors and see how long it lasts.

Pretty much my feelings as well . That Minora blade is really a hidden gem amongst the hype of Feather , Polsilver , GSB , etc etc .

So my verdict after a couple of shaves:

The Polsilver is a nice sharp blade with decent smoothness. It gets smoother after a shave or two. It has good longevity as well. Personally, the Minora is still slightly better for me as it feels a bit sharper, starts smoother and lasts pretty well.

It does appear that in fact Polsilvers are no longer in production.

With great regret, we would like to inform you that the rumors about End of production of Polsilver Super Iridium is true. Our information is that they are not in production as of mid-September. To be able to keep PSI blades in the market as long as possible, we will stop wholesales and prices will be gradually increased over time.

That's from Veli's website http://www.polsilver-blades.com/

So I just bought another 100 blades.
