I got to see Jacks Razors on Friday and they really are lovely looking razors. I loved the blue scales one, gorgeous scales, thinnnn blades (must take some serious skill), soo tempting. Personally, I do have a few reservations though.

Thanks B.

I did spend sometime this afternoon stropping it on the Livi loom strop, so will see tomorrow morning how it deals with 2 days growth.

I think its important to support local artisans and I enjoy the Kamisori I bought from Jack.

I'd like to hear how it shaves

I love the pivot pins he uses.

On that note, how is your Livi loom strop?

I'll let you know how it shaves as I'm sure most will be interested.

The Livi loom strop is wonderful and the leather he uses is as soft as a baby's.... :D

It shaves superbly.

Before my 1st shave, I stropped it on the CrOx side of the Livi and then the leather side.

I was blown away by how smooth and irritation free the shave was. As it's a full hollow, it's also very audible in the feedback, You hear it cutting hair but don't feel a thing.

Definitely a favourite.

Great stuff his steel choice and heat treat allows extremely sharp edges

Yeah, Jack's stuff is pretty impressive, I bought the two with the red and blue scales and someone else one shortly after me, I'll add a few bob onto the price, take some pics and add them to my site soon, don't think they will fly off the site (trying to grow organically) but it sure adds value to the collection.

I'm sorry I missed out on the one with the blue scales but I'm extremely happy with the one I chose.

Any idea who owns the small carbon fibre scaled razor? Pity it's not someone on this forum.

For me that one with the blue scales was a winner!! They were all available when I was there on the Friday. But to me it looked like the one scale was slightly cracked at the pivot pin? Otherwise I may have walked away with that one.
