He does have a good rep amongst the Straight Razor community.

There is a place in Randburg called JKM that might stock small washers for 1/16" brass rod.

Check out Cape Watch Mostly Jewelry and watchmaking supplies but I'm sure some of those pins and stuff can be re purposed for our needs.

I bought my jewelers saw from cape watch company... great to deal with... and great to saw out scales... will look at jkm too... shipping will be costly will make a plan to get some tools... want to get polishing paste too

OK let's try again, busy with a commision, so let's see how it goes - have had issues posting, so that's why the delay... hopefully making more razors from both carbon steel and real deal stainless razor steel...

It is purple heart, here i laminated it with african blackwood... photographing bright reflective thingies are pain, but i'm getting some advice...

I made the pins and washers yesterday and pinned last night... might be worth doing a few more, but i like the look... glad i went for a waxed finish on the purpleheart and blackwood, it pops the grain nicely

Is the wedge an actual wedge? In the one photo it looks tapered and in another, not.

How does the razor shave?
